Frequently asked questions
Everything customers ask us before and after they order — sizing, materials, assembly, delivery, warranty and payment — gathered in one place.
If your question is about a particular rack, the product pages go deeper: the storeroom rack, the L-shaped rack with no centre pole and the warehouse rack each list their own sizes and load ratings. If you have measured your room already, send the numbers through the quotation form and we will answer with a layout.
Sizing and fit
What size rack fits an HDB storeroom or household shelter?
Most HDB storerooms and household shelters take a rack between 100 cm and 140 cm long at 40 cm to 50 cm deep, and 45 cm is the usual choice in a BTO shelter. The limiting factor is normally the door opening rather than the room itself. Work through our storeroom measuring guide before you order — it covers the wall lengths, the ceiling and the clearances people forget.
What sizes do you make?
The storeroom rack stands at H200 cm in lengths of 100, 120 and 140 cm, at depths of 40, 50 and 60 cm. The L-shaped rack stands at H198 cm with 90, 110 and 130 cm arms at 45 cm deep, which is what makes it fit a corner cleanly. The warehouse rack goes to H200 or H240 cm, in 200 or 245 cm lengths at 60 cm deep.
How much weight can a shelf hold?
The storeroom and L-shaped ranges are rated at 200 kg, and the medium-duty warehouse rack at 400 kg per shelf, which is why it uses a heavier frame and a deeper 60 cm shelf. Spread the load across the shelf rather than concentrating it at one end, and put the heaviest items on the lowest tier — that is good practice on any rack, whatever it is rated for.
Should I buy one L-shaped rack or two straight racks?
If two of your walls meet at a corner you want to use, the L-shaped rack almost always wins. Two straight racks collide at the corner and leave a block of floor you can reach but never fill, whereas an L-shaped rack with no centre pole carries one unbroken shelf around it. If three walls are usable, read our L-shape versus U-shape layout comparison first.
Materials and build
What are the racks made of?
Steel throughout, finished in a durable epoxy powder coating. There is no plywood backing, no fibreboard shelf insert and no MDF trim — not one wooden or fibrous component anywhere in the structure. The shelves are metal panels that sit on the beams and lift out, so the whole rack can be wiped down. Our company background explains why we settled on an all-metal build.
Will the rack rust or grow mould in Singapore's humidity?
This is the reason we do not sell wooden shelving. Warm, humid air keeps moisture in a wooden board, and mould growing on wood can release mycotoxins that affect indoor air quality — a real concern in a storeroom or household shelter where the door stays shut. Metal gives mould nothing to feed on, and the epoxy coating resists corrosion. See the construction on our boltless rack page.
What colours are available?
The storeroom rack is white, which disappears against most storeroom walls. The L-shaped rack is beige. The warehouse range uses the standard industrial scheme — blue vertical frames with orange and white shelving — so bays are easy to identify across a floor. Colour options for a specific size are confirmed when we quote; ask on the quotation form.
Assembly and installation
Do I need tools or drilling to put the rack up?
No. Boltless racks lock together by hand: the beams tap into the slots in the uprights and the shelf panels drop on top. Nothing is screwed or drilled into your wall or floor, which matters in an HDB household shelter where drilling is not permitted. The step-by-step order of assembly is set out in how to build a DIY storage rack.
Do you install the rack, or do I assemble it myself?
When we confirm your order we agree an installation date with you, and our team sets the rack up in the room on that visit. If you would rather do it yourself — because you are collecting the rack, or because you want it up the same evening — the assembly is genuinely straightforward and our DIY build guide walks through it with photographs.
Can I change the shelf heights or add shelves later?
Yes to both. The shelves are adjustable along the upright, so you can raise one tier for luggage and close up the rest for boxes. Extra shelves can be ordered separately for any size in the range and slot straight into the same frame. Sizes and shelf add-ons are listed on the storeroom rack page. Because the rack is boltless, it can also be dismantled and rebuilt if you move.
Delivery and self-collection
How much is delivery and how long does it take?
To a home — HDB, condominium or landed — delivery is a flat S$40 anywhere in Singapore, whatever the size of the order, and we deliver within 3 working days of a confirmed order. Deliveries run on weekdays and we contact you beforehand to agree the slot.
Business, commercial and project deliveries are quoted per project, because access and site conditions differ. Access notes, restricted zones and what happens if nobody is home are all covered in our shipping policy.
Can I collect the rack myself?
Yes, from our office at 1092 Lower Delta Road during opening hours, and our team will help you load. A typical saloon car takes one to two sets of rack with the seats folded; a hatchback, SUV or MPV takes more. Our self-collection walkthrough shows exactly how the frames, beams and shelves stack into a car. Let us know in advance so the order is packed and waiting.
Do you deliver outside Singapore, or to any address?
We deliver across Singapore only — there is no overseas shipping. We also cannot deliver to P.O. boxes or to restricted zones. Racking is long and bulky, so if your building has a narrow lift, a service-lift booking requirement or restricted delivery hours, tell us when you order and we will plan around it. The full conditions are on the shipping policy page.
Warranty, returns and damage
What does the warranty cover?
Every rack carries a 1 year warranty against manufacturing defects, covering the frames, beams and shelf panels. It covers faults in the way the rack was made — it does not cover overloading beyond the rated capacity, impact damage or normal wear on the coating. The warranty terms set out what is included and how to make a claim.
Can I return a rack if it does not work out?
Items can be returned within 7 days of delivery, unused and in their original condition with all packaging, accessories and documents. Custom or specially manufactured racking, and clearance items, are not returnable unless defective. Return shipping is the customer's responsibility unless the return is down to a defect or our error. Read the full return policy before you arrange one.
Something arrived damaged or a part is missing. What now?
Contact us within 2 days of delivery with your order details and a photo of the problem, and we will arrange a replacement part or a refund. Do not assemble a damaged frame in the meantime. Damage in transit and missing parts are handled under our shipping policy, and exchanges for defective goods within 7 days are covered by the return policy.
Payment and invoicing
How can I pay for my order?
We accept Cash on delivery, PayLah! or PayNow, e-Invoice / Vendor@Gov. Card payments are not available yet, so please do not plan on paying by credit or debit card at the door. If you are unsure which method suits your order, ask when you send your quotation request and we will confirm it along with the price.
Can I pay on delivery?
Yes. Cash on delivery is how a large share of household orders are settled — you pay the driver for the rack and the flat S$40 home delivery charge when it arrives. PayNow and PayLah! also work on the doorstep if you would rather not handle cash. Confirm your preferred method when we call to schedule the delivery date.
Is the price inclusive of GST?
There is no GST to include — we are not GST-registered, so none is charged on your order and none appears on your invoice. The quoted price plus the flat S$40 home delivery charge is the full amount payable. See our terms and conditions for the full pricing and payment terms.
How long is my quotation valid?
30 days from the date we issue it. After that, ask us to reissue rather than relying on the old figures — material prices and stock both move. Reissuing takes minutes; just reply to the original email or send a new quotation request.
Can you invoice my company or government agency?
Yes. We supply government agencies, schools, hospitals and corporate offices as well as households, and we can raise an e-Invoice or bill through Vendor@Gov for public-sector buyers. Send your purchase order details or your agency reference with the quotation request, or read more about the organisations we supply on our about us page.

The five we are asked most
What size storage rack fits an HDB storeroom?
Most HDB storerooms and household shelters take a rack of 100 cm to 140 cm long at 40 cm to 50 cm deep, and the door opening is usually the real constraint. Measure the wall lengths at floor level, the ceiling height and the clear door width first — our guide to measuring your storeroom lists every number we need to size it for you.
How much is delivery and how long will it take?
To a home address it is a flat S$40 anywhere in Singapore, regardless of order size, and we deliver within 3 working days of a confirmed order. Deliveries run on weekdays and we agree the slot with you in advance. Business and project deliveries are quoted individually. Access conditions, restricted zones and self-collection are all set out on our shipping policy page.
Do I need to drill anything to install the rack?
No. Every rack we sell is boltless — the beams lock into the uprights by hand and the shelves drop on top, so nothing is fixed to your wall or floor. That is what makes it suitable for an HDB household shelter, where drilling is not permitted. The DIY build guide shows the assembly order step by step.
How can I pay, and do you accept cards?
We accept Cash on delivery, PayLah! or PayNow, e-Invoice / Vendor@Gov. Card payments are not available yet. Cash on delivery is common for household orders, and companies or agencies can be billed by e-Invoice or through Vendor@Gov. Tell us your preferred method when you send your quotation request.
What warranty comes with the rack, and can I return it?
Every rack carries a 1 year warranty against manufacturing defects on the frames, beams and shelf panels. Unused racks in original condition and packaging can be returned within 7 days of delivery, with custom-made and clearance items excluded. See the warranty terms and the return policy for the details.
