How it is built

The black finish is deliberate — it is the one rack in our range designed to live in a room people see, rather than inside a storeroom. For a corner installation or heavier loads, choose a boltless rack instead.

Is a foldable rack the right choice?
It is, if you want shelving quickly, want it gone again afterwards, and are storing light to moderate household items. It is not, if the rack has to carry heavy boxes permanently, run floor to ceiling, or fit an awkward corner — a folding frame trades load capacity for the ability to collapse, and that is a real trade.
For a fixed storeroom or household shelter, a boltless storeroom rack holds far more and uses the full height of the room. Does the foldable rack need any assembly?
No tools and no assembly. It arrives folded — you stand it up, unfold it, and the frame locks in position on its own. Fitting the wheels is the only optional step, and they push straight into the base. If you want a rack you can build and adjust yourself instead, look at our boltless storeroom racks.
Can I really fold it away again after use?
Yes. Take the load off, release the lock and the frame collapses flat so it slides behind a door, down the side of a wardrobe or under a bed. That is the whole point of this rack — it is the one to buy when you need shelving some of the time rather than all of the time.
Do the wheels have to be fitted?
They are supplied but entirely optional. Fit them if you want to roll the rack out to load it or push it aside to clean behind, and lock them once it is in place. Leave them off if you would rather the rack sat lower and stayed put.
Which tier count should I choose?
Pick by what you are storing, not by the price. Three tiers give the tallest gaps for appliances and boxed items, five tiers give the most shelf area for many small things, and four is the middle ground most people end up with. All three share the same footprint.
