H198 × L90 × D45cm

One continuous shelf that turns the corner. No upright standing in the middle of it, no dead square of floor you can see but never use — just shelf, all the way round.
It is the rack we are known for, and the reason a 1.2 by 2 metre HDB storeroom ends up holding far more than the owner expected. Boltless, 45cm deep, rated to 200kg a shelf, and it goes up without a single hole in your walls. The standard frame is 198cm tall, with 220cm and 244cm available where the ceiling allows.
Stand two ordinary racks against adjoining walls and something has to give. Either they butt together and you lose the whole corner behind a pair of uprights, or you pull one back and leave a gap too narrow to store anything in. In a room the size of an HDB storeroom, that corner is often a tenth of your floor area.
The L-shaped rack solves it by treating both walls as one rack rather than two. The corner shelf is a single continuous panel carried on the arms either side of it, so you can slide a box in from the left and pull it out on the right. Nothing blocks the middle, and nothing is stranded at the back.
If your room has three usable walls rather than two, it is worth reading how the L-shape and U-shape rack layouts compare before you decide — the extra arm changes how much floor you keep to stand in.
Five lengths, all 45cm deep and supplied with four shelves. The prices below are for the standard H198cm frame; taller frames are covered underneath.
| Size (H × L × D) | Price | Suits |
|---|---|---|
| H198 × L70 × D45cm | S$140 | The shortest arm — tight shelter walls, and corners where the door swing eats the wall |
| H198 × L90 × D45cm | S$160 | Short wall runs, narrow household shelters and the arm that has to clear a door swing |
| H198 × L110 × D45cm | S$180 | The most common HDB storeroom and shelter length, and the usual all-rounder |
| H198 × L130 × D45cm | S$200 | Long walls, utility rooms and store rooms in larger flats, condos and offices |
| H198 × L150 × D45cm | S$230 | The longest arm — landed store rooms, garages and back-of-house in shops and offices |
H is height, L is the length along the wall, D is the depth out from the wall. An L-shaped run is two of these lengths meeting at the corner — commonly 110 and 90, or 130 and 110. Send us both wall measurements and we will quote the pair, the tiering and the shelves in one go.
The prices above are for the standard 198cm frame, which clears a typical HDB ceiling. Where there is more headroom — a top-floor unit, a landed home, an attic store — the same rack is built taller, so the space above head height stops going to waste.
| Frame height | Suits |
|---|---|
| 198cm | The standard frame. Fits under a typical HDB ceiling with room to work above it. |
| 220cm | For rooms with a little more headroom, adding a usable band of storage above head height. |
| 244cm | The tallest frame, for high ceilings — top-floor units, landed homes and attic stores. |
The 220cm and 244cm frames are not listed at a fixed price, because the cost depends on how many shelf levels you want in the extra height and how they are spaced. Tell us your ceiling height on the quotation form and we will price the taller frame with the rest of the rack.

The frame stays the same; how many shelves go on it, and how they are spaced, is yours to choose. Each arm can be tiered differently, and a raised build lifts the bottom shelf off the floor so tall things stand underneath.
It is a multi-tier shelving system rather than a fixed product, so you specify the build: a 3-tier shelving rack for bulky items that need headroom, the 4-tier shelving rack most homes order as standard, a 5-tier shelving rack for files and document boxes, or a 6-tier shelving rack where everything stored is small and boxed. Shelf levels can be added or re-spaced later without new parts.
Every shelf level carries up to 200kg of evenly spread load, corner shelf included. A full L-shaped run takes household stock, tools and boxed goods without the shelves bowing.
The shelf panels are steel, not wood or fibre board. Nothing swells, warps or grows mould in an unventilated storeroom, and nothing has to be replaced in a few years.
A baked epoxy powder coat over the whole frame, so the rack will not rust in Singapore humidity. The neutral beige keeps a small windowless room looking bright rather than boxed in.
Shelf edges are folded and finished — no raw metal to catch a hand or a carton when you are reaching past a doorway with your arms full.
No screws, bolts or nuts anywhere. Beams tap into slots on the uprights and the shelf panels drop on top, so nothing is drilled into your wall, floor or ceiling.
Shelf heights move up and down the upright in fixed increments. Re-space a tier for a taller box later without buying a single new part.
The corner problem is the same everywhere, which is why the same L-shaped metal rack turns up as a BTO storeroom rack, a shophouse stockroom fit-out and the back office of a clinic. It fits wherever two walls meet and the room is too small to waste any of them.
As an HDB storage rack it has one room it was practically designed for: the HDB household shelter, where the door swing and the small footprint rule out most furniture. If only one of your walls is usable, a single straight bay is the cheaper answer — see the single-bay storeroom rack instead.
Almost every rack that does not fit fails on the same handful of numbers: the two wall lengths, the door opening, the ceiling clearance and the skirting at the base of the wall. Write those down before you order and the rest is straightforward. Our step-by-step guide to measuring your storeroom covers each one, including the clearances people forget.
Send the measurements over and we will come back with a layout and a price. There is no charge for the recommendation, and no obligation to take it.
Flat delivery, island-wide, whatever you order.
Working days from a confirmed order to your door.
Warranty against manufacturing defects, on every rack.
Installation is included — our crew builds the rack in the room and takes the packaging away. If you would rather build it yourself, self-collection from Lower Delta Road is available on request.

On an ordinary corner setup, two racks meet and their end uprights stand side by side right where the corner shelf should be. Ours does not do that. The shelf runs unbroken around the corner with nothing planted in the middle of it, so the corner square becomes real, loadable shelf you can reach into from either arm instead of a blocked gap.
Every size is 45cm deep. The length options are 70cm, 90cm, 110cm, 130cm and 150cm, and an L-shaped run pairs two of them — one for each wall. Pick the length that leaves your door swing clear on the shorter wall. The standard frame is 198cm tall; if your ceiling allows it we also build 220cm and 244cm, priced on request. The guide to measuring your storeroom lists the four numbers to send us.
Up to 200kg per shelf level, spread evenly across the panel rather than piled into one corner of it. That covers everything a home or small office storeroom normally holds. If you are stacking pallets or bulk trade stock instead, the heavy duty warehouse rack is built for that load and is the better buy.
No tools and no damage. It is a boltless system: the beams lock into the uprights when tapped home and the shelves sit on the beams, so nothing is screwed into a wall, a floor or a ceiling. That is why it is allowed in an HDB household shelter, where drilling is not permitted. Installation is included with delivery.
Delivery is a flat S$40 anywhere in Singapore and arrives within 3 working days of a confirmed order — access, lift and self-collection details are in the delivery and shipping policy. Every rack also carries a 1 year warranty against manufacturing defects on the frame, beams and shelf panels; the warranty terms set out what is covered.
